HCM City, July 30 -- Relevant authorities in Ho Chi Minh City on July 29 organised a delegation to visit and directly engage with fishing boat owners in Long Hai commune, home to the city's largest fishing fleet with over 1,400 vessels, to disseminate information on combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing. The working group listened to feedback from vessel operators on the challenges and shortcomings they face, along with their proposed solutions for sustainable marine resource exploitation in the current context.
