Kuala Lumpur, Sept. 6 -- The ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime (AMMTC) is a strategic platform that brings together ministers to discuss, coordinate and strengthen regional cooperation in combating increasingly complex crime threats, said Malaysian Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail ahead the AMMTC that is scheduled for September 8-12 in Melaka, Malaysia.
In a Facebook post on September 4, he said AMMTC is an important platform that shows ASEAN's security and well-being can only be achieved through consistent joint commitment.
He said the safety of the people and regional stability cannot be shouldered by one country alone, but requires the collective commitment of all ASEAN members.
