Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy claimed Vietnam's first gold of the day after defeating a Myanmar opponent in the women's 60kg sanda final. Competing under a three-round format, Thuy dominated from the outset and sealed a convincing victory in less than two minutes of the opening round due to a wide points gap.
