
New Delhi, Aug. 18 -- Full-service law firm Trilegal and boutique law firm Veritas Legal announced new appointments on Monday. Trilegal is onboarding Abhishek Guha, Tanya Uppal, and Mahesh Wasadikar as partners in the corporate practice, while Veritas has elevated Zenia Cassinath as partner.

With the new appointments, Trilegal's equity partnership will grow to 146, it said in a statement.
All three partners join from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, bringing extensive experience across private equity sponsors, pension funds, investment banks, technology companies, pharmaceutical majors, industrial and manufacturing businesses, and other large corporate groups. With their appointment, Trilegal's corporate practice now comprises more than 55 partners.

Abhishek Guha brings nearly two decades of experience in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic corporate advisory. He has advised marquee clients, including global private equity sponsors, pension funds, investment banks, and multinational corporations across sectors such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, technology, financial services, and manufacturing. Guha holds an LLB from the National University of Juridical Sciences and was a partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas for nearly 19 years.
Tanya Uppal is a private equity and M&A practitioner with experience advising global investors, sovereign wealth funds, and corporates on cross-border investments, acquisitions, and exits. Her expertise spans technology, financial services, consumer products, and industrial manufacturing. Uppal, who holds a BA LLB from Amity University, spent the last six years at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas.
Mahesh Wasadikar specializes in private equity, M&A, and corporate restructuring. He has a track record in advising strategic and financial investors on investments, joint ventures, and portfolio company exits. His experience spans infrastructure, manufacturing, and financial services. Wasadikar, who holds an LLB from Rizvi Law College, began his career at Crawford Bayley & Co and most recently served as a partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas.

Veritas Legal announced the elevation of Zenia Cassinath as partner. Cassinath, who has been with the firm for nearly a decade, specializes in antitrust and competition law.
She has represented both domestic and international clients before the Competition Commission of India on matters related to merger control and behavioural competition.
She advises clients across industries on antitrust compliance, risk management, private equity investments, cross-border M&As, and complex corporate restructurings under Indian competition law.
Founded in 2015 in Mumbai, Veritas specializes in M&A, PE, disputes, and white-collar crime. It is currently in its 10th year of operations.
