New Delhi, Sept. 15 -- Plastics recycler JC Global, AI beauty commerce platform Firi, and power electronics company Zenergize have secured fresh funding to expand their recycling capacity, product offerings, and technology.
JC Global
Circulate Capital has invested $9.5 million (Rs 91.1 crore) in Tamil Nadu-based plastics recycler Jayachandran Global Refineries Pvt Ltd (JC Global), acquiring a significant minority stake.
The investment marks Circulate Capital's eighth investment in India and the first from its Asia Fund II, which recently marked a $220-million first close.
JC Global processes hard-to-recycle plastic waste from sources such as automobiles and large appliances into recycled polyolefins and other materials for the automotive and electronics sectors.
The fresh capital will support JC Global's expansion from a single-site operation to a multi-plant network, including new facilities in Tamil Nadu and increased capacity for recycled polypropylene, HDPE and ABS resins.
The company also plans to add chemical recycling capacity to recover residual plastics from mechanical recycling. JC Global aims to scale its recycling capacity to nearly 100,000 tonnes of plastic waste annually, which it estimates could avoid more than 190,000 tonnes of CO2e emissions each year.
Circulate Capital said at least half of the targeted $300 million Asia Fund II will be deployed in South Asia.
Firi
AI-native beauty commerce platform Firi has raised $3 million in a seed round led by 360 ONE Asset, with participation from Better Capital, Kunal Shah and other founders and operators.
Founded by former Uber executives Karishma Rathaur and Vivek Madani, Firi uses AI agents to analyse product reviews, Reddit discussions, YouTube content and ingredient lists. It has analysed more than 50 million reviews to shortlist around 3,000 products and currently sells skincare, haircare and bodycare.
The company says its average order value is nearly twice that of large online beauty platforms such as Nykaa and Tira.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand into makeup, fragrance and other beauty categories, while strengthening the platform's operations.
Firi currently offers deliveries in as little as 9 minutes across parts of Gurugram from its first Beauty Studio.
The company was incorporated in June 2026 following a pilot earlier this year. The founders previously built Honestly, an AI-powered beauty search and discovery platform, before launching Firi.
Zenergize
India-based power electronics company Zenergize has closed a pre-Series A funding round following its first full year of commercialisation.
The company, founded by Navneet Daga, develops power electronics products using silicon carbide (SiC) technology, with its portfolio including 60-240 kW DC fast chargers and AC chargers.
Its chargers are deployed with OEMs, logistics companies and charge point operators across India. The company has also deployed more than 3,000 rooftop solar inverters.
