New Delhi, Oct. 6 -- The Nanda family, which is one of the promoters of the multinational conglomerate Escorts Kubota, has launched a strategic venture unit Naveli Ventures.

Naveli Ventures, the strategic venture arm of the Nanda Family Office, will invest in direct startups and institutional funds, do co-investments, and form academic and intellectual-property partnerships.

"We define ourselves not by sector but by the scale of the problem and the conviction of those solving it," Navya Naveli Nanda said in a Linkedin post.

"Across deep tech, space, clean energy, AI, advanced manufacturing and health, we are actively looking for the new ideas, breakthrough technologies, and bold founders pushing these sectors forward," she added.

Navya Naveli Nanda serves as the managing partner at Naveli Ventures, in addition to her role as a junior consultant at Escorts Kubota. Earlier, she co-founded the women's health and wellness platform Aara Health.

The Nanda family is a co-promoter in the Mumbai-listed Escorts Kubota Corporation, along with Japanese multinational company Kubota Corporation. The family owns a nearly 12.7% stake in Escorts Kubota, while Kubota Corporation owns a 54.1% shareholding in the company.

Founded in 1944 by Hari Prasad and Yudi Nanda, the company started off as Escorts (Agents) Ltd, which later became Escorts Ltd. In 2020, the Osaka-headquartered Kubota Corporation began investing in the company and, in 2021, it became the majority shareholder. Escorts Kubota operates across farm mechanisation, smart agriculture and advanced construction-equipment segments. The company manufactures farm tractors, construction equipment, engines, spare parts and lubricants among others.

In 2024, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) approved the merger of Escorts Kubota India and Kubota Agricultural Machinery India with Escorts Kubota.
