New Delhi, Sept. 3 -- Business Nextgen Finance, a non-bank lender focussed on secured lending to medium, small and micro-enterprises (MSMEs), has raised Rs 215 crore ($23 million) in a round led by Beams Fintech.
Baring PE Partners India, Saison Capital Pte. Ltd. and Unleash Capital Partners also participated in the round, along with other investors, according to a press note.
Following the fundraise, Beams Fintech Fund and its affiliates collectively hold an over 26% stake in the non-banking financial company (NBFC).
Last June, VCCircle had reported that Business Nexgen's founder Pankaj Poddar was in the process of raising Rs 200-250 crore for a new MSME focussed-venture. Poddar was formerly a chief risk officer at SBFC Finance.
The non-bank lender will now utilise these funds to strengthen its capital base, scale up its technology-led secured lending platform and expand its operations into underserved MSME markets.
"This capital will enable us to accelerate our growth while remaining firmly committed to strong governance, sustainable profitability and long-term value creation for all our stakeholders," Pankaj Poddar, managing director and chief executive officer, Business Nextgen Finance, said in the press note.
"We believe Business Nextgen Finance is well positioned to build a scalable and sustainable platform and look forward to supporting the Company in its next phase of growth," Sagar Agarwal, Founder & Managing Partner, Beams Fintech Fund said in the note.
Business Nextgen Finance received its Certificate of Registration from the Reserve Bank of India(RBI) in September 2025.
The investor Beams Fintech Fund is a growth-stage private equity fund focussed on backing companies across India's financial services and fintech space. The firm's investments include forex and travel banking company Niyo, supply chain finance entity Progcap, and micro-LAP focussed Infinity Fincorp Solutions among others.
