New Delhi, May 12 -- The Kazan Helicopter Plant (or KVZ) has embarked on a contract for supplying India with forty Mi-17-IV military transport helicopters. The $170 million contract (for 40 helicopters) is due to be fulfilled before the end of 2001. The first batch of four helicopters was delivered to the customer onboard An-124 Russian transport aircraft in October.
