India, Oct. 5 -- Samtel HAL Display Systems Limited (SHDS), a joint venture between Samtel Avionics and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), on 27 August 2026, inaugurated its new facility at Udyog Vihar, Phase IV, Gurugram. The facility was formally opened by Mr. Ravi K, Chairman & Managing Director of HAL. SHDS was established to address avionics requirements - including test benches and systems - across HAL's fixed and rotary wing platforms. The joint venture holds the unique distinction of being India's first public-private partnership in the defence avionics sector to indigenously design, qualify and serially produce a multifunction display (MFD) for induction on a fighter aircraft.
