India, Aug. 28 -- As a tactical infantry radar, the GO12 is specifically designed for highly mobile forces. With a sensor volume of only 28 litres, it can be carried in a backpack by two soldiers, in addition to 15-20 kilograms of personal equipment. This radar operates in all weather conditions, notably rain, snow, and fog, if optical sensors such as camera drones can no longer provide usable results. To meet the demand of the armed forces, Thales is strengthening its production capacity, including expanding the plant in Ditzingen (near Stuttgart) and increasing its workforce. In 2026, Thales plans to hire 300 new employees in Germany to support this growth.
