New Delhi, Dec. 31 -- We were received at Lahore station by Air Force personnel and taken to the I.T.W (Initial Training Wing) at Walton. We were accommodated in the hostel of a school or a college. The headmaster of the school had been put in uniform and was our officer commanding in the rank of Wing Commander. Wg Cdr Hogg was an old fatherly person. Apart from him, there were other instructors of whom I remember Flt Lt Stockwell-the Professor, Sqn Ldr Geddes, the chief ground instructor and Sgt Symes the P.T. instructor. They were all very strict with us and while at Walton we hardly had any time to breathe because our daily schedule used to be so tight.
