WINDOWS DEVICE PRICE INCREASE JULY 1; SUBMIT PURCHASE ORDERS BY JUNE 16

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark., June 8 -- The University of Arkansas issued the following news release:

IT Services has been notified that the purchase price of Windows devices will increase by approximately 15%, effective July 1, 2026. This change impacts U of A faculty and staff who submit purchase orders for computing equipment.

To avoid this increase, purchase orders for Windows devices - including Dell desktops, laptopsand Microsoft Surface devices - must be submitted by June 16, 2026. This deadline allows time to process orders before the July 1 pricing change takes effect. After June 16, the ordering window will close for purchases intended to be completed at current pricing.

At this time, Apple device pricing is not affected.
