A Message from EWU Emergency Management
Emergency drills are an important part of keeping our university community safe, informed, and prepared. Whether it is a fire drill, lockdown drill, severe weather exercise, or another emergency preparedness activity, drills give students, faculty, and staff an opportunity to practice how to respond when an unexpected situation occurs.
During an emergency, knowing what to do can help reduce confusion and allow people to respond more calmly and effectively. Drills help our community become familiar with emergency procedures, building evacuation routes, safety notifications, and other important instructions.
