Senator Jim Banks (R-Ind.) is urging the Senate to cancel its August recess and remain in session until Congress passes the SAVE America Act. Senator Banks was among the first Republican Senators to support President Trump's call for lawmakers to stay in Washington until the election integrity legislation is passed.
The SAVE America Act would strengthen election integrity by requiring proof of U.S citizenship to register to vote in federal elections, helping ensure that only American citizens cast ballots.
