U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), alongside Senator Alex Padilla (D-Calif.), Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), and Senators Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii), Angus King (I-Maine), and Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.), launched an investigation into the Trump administration's efforts to kill offshore wind energy projects. The lawmakers pressed four offshore wind companies about the lease buyout agreements.
