U.S. Senators Reverend Raphael Warnock (D-GA), Tim Kaine (D-VA), Mark Warner (D-VA), Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), and Angela Alsobrooks (D-MD) asked Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for an explanation (https://www.warnock.senate.gov/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Warnock_CDC_Accommodations_letter.pdf) on new agency guidance rescinding telework as a reasonable accommodation for qualified employees with disabilities. The new policy would make it nearly impossible for staff with disabilities at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and across HHS to access telework as a reasonable accommodation.
