U.S. Senators Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine (both D-VA) announced nearly $35 million in federal funding to modernize bus fleets and facilities across Virginia, including replacing and rehabilitating buses, purchasing new vehicles, and upgrading transit infrastructure. This funding is awarded through the Department of Transportation's Grants for Buses and Bus Facilities Program, which was significantly expanded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (https://www.kaine.senate.gov/press-releases/warner-and-kaine-statement-on-senate-passage-of-the-bipartisan-infrastructure-investment-and-jobs-act) that the senators helped negotiate and pass.
