WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senators Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine (both D-VA) announced $68,000,000 in federal grant funding to replace the Surry ferry, part of the Jamestown-Scotland Ferry fleet. This funding comes from the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Electric or Low-Emitting Ferry Pilot Program for Fiscal Year 2026, which is made possible by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that the senators helped negotiate and pass.
