U.S. Senator Mazie K. Hirono (D-HI,) took to the Senate floor to celebrate Mahina Olelo Hawaii, Hawaiian Language Month. Ahead of the nation's 250th anniversary, Hirono celebrated Native language revitalization, highlighting the importance of Native communities in telling the story of our nation's history.

"Celebrating the survival and revitalization of these indigenous languages helps to preserve and strengthen the cultural diversity of our communities," Senator Hirono said.
