Andrew Makeev, a professor in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at The University of Texas at Arlington, has been named a Fellow of the American Society of Composites.
A Fellow is a distinguished member who has made outstanding contributions to the composites community through research, practice, education and/or service.
Makeev was cited for his pioneering contributions to the mechanics of composite materials and structures, including transformative advances in nondestructive inspection, material characterization, and predictive structural methods and for sustained leadership in advancing composite engineering in aerosp...
