ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,627,528, issued on May 12, was assigned to Zoom Communications Inc. (San Jose, Calif.).

"Cloud-based call routing" was invented by Walter F. C. Anderson (Santa Cruz, Calif.) and Benjamin Joseph DeStephen (Hilliard, Ohio).
