US Patent Issued to Zhejiang Yangshengtang Institute of Natural Medication on Dec. 16 for "Cherry plum tree named 'Farmer 3-01'" (Chinese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. PP37,151, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to Zhejiang Yangshengtang Institute of Natural Medication Co. Ltd (Zhejiang, China).

"Cherry plum tree named 'Farmer 3-01'" was invented by Qiong He (Xinjiang, China), Zhiqiang Bai (Xinjiang, China) and Xiaobo Cheng (Xinjiang, China).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The new cherry plum variety 'Farmer 3-01' is characterized by having a semi-open tree posture, and black colored, soft textured fruits with orange yellow colored flesh."
