ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,590,164, issued on March 31, was assigned to Yonsei University BioHealth Technology Holdings Inc. (Seoul, South Korea).
"Productivity-enhanced antibody and method for producing same" was invented by Joo Young Kim (Gyeonggi-do, South Korea), Jinu Lee (Incheon, South Korea) and Hye Yeon Kim (Seoul, South Korea).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein is a method for producing an antibody with improved productivity while maintaining its titer by causing at least one hydroxyamino acid contained in the light chain of the antibody to undergo O-linked glycosylation.
