US Patent Issued to YAZAKI on June 30 for "Charging inlet" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,668,140, issued on June 30, was assigned to YAZAKI Corp. (Tokyo).

"Charging inlet" was invented by Yusuke Aoki (Kakegawa, Japan), Naoto Ikeya (Kakegawa, Japan), Toru Yamada (Kakegawa, Japan) and Hidetaka Hondo (Sagamihara, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A charging inlet includes a plurality of terminals; a housing accommodating the terminals therein; and a terminal holder integrated to the housing. Each of the terminals includes: a first connected portion having a solid cylindrical shape; a second connected portion; and a middle portion.
