ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,636,273, issued on May 26, was assigned to YALE UNIVERSITY (New Haven, Conn.).

"Compositions for pathogenesis-directed therapy and treatments of skin diseases and disorders" was invented by Keith Choate (New Haven, Conn.) and Lihi Atzmony (New Haven, Conn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to compositions comprising at least one lipid-lowering drug or a derivative thereof for the treatment of skin diseases or disorders.
