US Patent Issued to XTI Aircraft on July 21 for "V/STOL aircraft" (Colorado, Kentucky, California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,686,491, issued on July 21, was assigned to XTI Aircraft Co. (Greenwood Village, Colo.).

"V/STOL aircraft" was invented by David Brody (Greenwood Village, Colo.), David Ambrose (Palmdale, Calif.) and Kevin Watters (Auburn, Ky.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A vertical/short takeoff and landing aircraft includes a pair of ducted lift/thrust fans that are rotatably movable between a first vertical lift position and a second horizontal thrust position.
