ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,618,924, issued on May 5, was assigned to Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (Madison, Wis.).

"Fabrication and use of nanocoils on nitrogen-vacancy diamond substrates for magnetic field detection and manipulation" was invented by Aviad Hai (Madison, Wis.), Alireza Ousati Ashtiani (Madison, Wis.), Ilhan Bok (Madison, Wis.) and Yash Sanjay Gokhale (Chicago).
