ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,606,798, issued on April 21, was assigned to Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (Madison, Wis.).

"Methods and materials for hematoendothelial differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells under defined conditions" was invented by Igor Slukvin (Verona, Wis.) and Gene Ichiro Uenishi (Madison, Wis.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods, kits and compositions for differentiating pluripotent stem cells into cells of endothelial and hematopoietic lineages are disclosed."

The patent was filed on April 7, 2022, under Application No. 17/715,889.
