ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,528,547, issued on Jan. 20, was assigned to Winnebago Industries Inc. (Eden Prairie, Minn.).

"Front fairings for vehicles" was invented by Stephen Bender (Mason City, Iowa) and Todd McQuown (Forest City, Iowa).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A front fairing structure for attaching to a vehicle above its windshield. The front fairing structure defines a lower surface and an upper surface. The upper surface has a flatter geometry compared to the lower surface. One or more solar panels can be coupled to the upper surface of the front fairing structure."

The patent was filed on Jan. 5, 2024, under Application No. 18/405,779.
