US Patent Issued to Whirlpool on June 2 for "Dish treating appliance with a sprayer" (Michigan Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,642,417, issued on June 2, was assigned to Whirlpool Corp. (Benton Harbor, Mich.).

"Dish treating appliance with a sprayer" was invented by Mark S. Feddema (Kalamazoo, Mich.) and Philip J. Czarnecki (Saugatuck, Mich.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A dishwasher for treating dishes according to an automatic cycle of operation includes a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber with an access opening. A closure selectively closes the access opening. At least one dish rack is located within the treating chamber. At least one rotating spray arm is located within the tub, adjacent to and emitting fluid into the at least one dish rack....
