ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,487,210, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to Waters Technologies Corp. (Milford, Mass.).

"Encapsulated pre-analytic workflows for flow-through devices, liquid chromatography and mass spectrometric analysis" was invented by Kevin Daniel Wyndham (Upton, Mass.) and Darryl W. Brousmiche (Grafton, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This invention relates to encapsulated reagents for sample and workflow preparation prior to chromatographic, spectroscopic or other analytical systems, use thereof, and devices comprising the same."
