ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,637,557, issued on May 26, was assigned to W.R. Grace & Co.-CONN. (Columbia, Md.).

"High crystalline olefin polymer for high speed spinning" was invented by John Kaarto (Lake Jackson, Texas).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A polymer composition includes a low ethylene random copolymer that can be used to form a meltspun or spunbond article at high spinning velocities. The polymer composition has a low xylene soluble content, a high crystallinity, or both, while having reduced spin-break at high spinning velocities. The polymer composition also exhibits good fiber tenacity and fabric softness."
