US Patent Issued to W.R. Grace & Co.-Conn. on June 23 for "Modified zeolite catalyst compositions and methods of use" (Maryland Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,661,643, issued on June 23, was assigned to W.R. Grace & Co.-Conn. (Columbia, Md.).

"Modified zeolite catalyst compositions and methods of use" was invented by Dorai Ramprasad (Columbia, Md.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A modified zeolite catalyst composition is disclosed formed from a zeolite, alumina binder, and matrix. The modified zeolite catalyst composition may contain fluorine. Also disclosed, are methods for the preparation of pyridine and/or its alkylpyridine derivatives in high yield utilizing the modified zeolite catalyst composition."
