US Patent Issued to Volvo Car on April 14 for "Vehicle seat floor filler" (Swedish Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,600,278, issued on April 14, was assigned to Volvo Car Corp. (Gothenburg, Sweden).

"Vehicle seat floor filler" was invented by Lars Modh (Uddevalla, Sweden) and Peter Setterberg (Partille, Sweden).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A seat filler assembly for a vehicle. The seat filler assembly includes a seat filler structure adapted to be disposed between a seat bottom of a seat and a floor structure of the vehicle. The seat filler assembly also includes one or more rigid members adapted to couple the seat bottom to the floor structure through the seat filler structure."
