ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,605,814, issued on April 21, was assigned to VIS LLC (Travelers Rest, S.C.).

"Folding clip extractor" was invented by Christopher Bradley Danner (Greer, S.C.) and Walter Anthony Herbert (Greer, S.C.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A trim and clip extractor tool includes a handle with a storage compartment and an axle to which an extractor blade is rotatably connected. The blade has a channel formed between prongs, and the extractor blade and its prongs are folded and stored in the compartment when not in use."

The patent was filed on Feb. 16, 2024, under Application No. 18/443,849.
