ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,698,399, issued on Aug. 4, was assigned to VIAVI SOLUTIONS INC. (Chandler, Ariz.).
"Composition including reflective particles" was invented by Cornelis Jan Delst (Fairfax, Calif.) and Paul Thomas Kohlmann (Windsor, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A composition includes magnetic particles having a median particle size ranging from about 10 to about 30 microns; and reflective particles having a median particle size ranging from about 1 to about 9 microns, wherein the reflective particles have a lightness at least 10 points higher than the lightness of the magnetic particles. A method of making the composition is also disclosed."
