US Patent Issued to VGP IPCO on Aug. 4 for "Structured assembly lubricant" (Kentucky Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,698,452, issued on Aug. 4, was assigned to VGP IPCO LLC (Lexington, Ky.).

"Structured assembly lubricant" was invented by Jacob Bonta (Lexington, Ky.), James Brown (Lexington, Ky.) and Lucas Tomko (Lexington, Ky.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A two-phase structured lubricant includes a liquid component about 5% by weight (wt. %) to 95 wt. %, and a structural component about 5 wt. % to 95 wt. %. The structural component recrystallizes or solidifies around the liquid component."

The patent was filed on March 20, 2025, under Application No. 19/085,405.
