ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,728,114, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to VERU INC. (Miami).
"Methods of treating inflammation" was invented by Mitchell S. Steiner (Germantown, Tenn.) and Kester Gary Barnette (Wake Forest, N.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to methods of treating inflammation using compounds that disrupt the cytoskeleton by causing microtubule depolymerization and preventing or reducing the assembly of activated inflammasomes."
The patent was filed on Aug. 4, 2021, under Application No. 18/552,799.
