ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 14 -- United States Patent no. 12,678,039, issued on July 14, was assigned to Verily Health Inc. (Dallas).
"Visual field test in a VR headset" was invented by Supriyo Sinha (Menlo Park, Calif.), Kirk Gossage (Pacifica, Calif.) and Dimitri Azar (Chicago).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Virtual reality, VR, headset-based electronic systems that can be used to perform visual field tests. The systems may improve the sensitivity, consistency, and case of application of the visual field test. Other aspects are also described."
The patent was filed on Dec. 12, 2023, under Application No. 18/537,645.
