ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,567,049, issued on March 3, was assigned to VAYYAR IMAGING LTD. (Yehud, Israel).
"Radar based sensing for retail applications" was invented by Shay Moshe (Petah Tikva, Israel), Albert Jacob (Modiin Makabim Reut, Israel) and Michael Mendelovich (Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A radar system for monitoring shelves in a retail environment, where the system monitors the occupancy of the shelves and/or the dynamics of the customers in front of the shelves. The radar is preferably a wideband 3D imaging MIMO radar."
