ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,545,649, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to Vanderbilt University (Nashville, Tenn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Substituted N-heteroaryl sulfonamide compounds inhibit WDR5-MYC interactions, and the compounds and their pharmaceutical compositions are useful for treating disorders and conditions in a subject such as cancer cell proliferation."
