ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,605,437, issued on April 21, was assigned to Valneva SE (Nantes, France).
"Single shot Chikungunya virus vaccine" was invented by Nina Wressnigg (GieBhubl, Austria) and Romana Hochreiter (Vienna).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a single-shot live attenuated vaccine against Chikungunya virus which is well-tolerated and induces long-lasting protective immunity in adult human subjects."
The patent was filed on Aug. 10, 2020, under Application No. 17/632,946.
