ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,733,080, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to Valeo Vision (Bobigny, France).

"Matrix light source for a motor vehicle" was invented by Sebastian Krick (Bobigny, France) and Samuel Daroussin (Bobigny, France).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to a matrix light source having a plurality of elementary light sources with electroluminescent semiconductor elements, and a common substrate in contact with an integrated circuit. The integrated circuit is configured to delay the illumination of the elementary sources for a pre-determined duration following receipt of an illumination command."
