ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,411,721, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to UT-Battelle LLC (Oak Ridge, Tenn.).

"Efficient memory management for heterogeneous computing" was invented by Narasinga Rao Miniskar (Knoxville, Tenn.), Mohammad Alaul Haque Monil (Knoxville, Tenn.), Pedro Valero Lara (Knoxville, Tenn.), Jeffrey S. Vetter (Oak Ridge, Tenn.) and Frank Y. Liu (Norfolk, Va.).
