ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,467,315, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to USS Veteran Services Co. LLC (Louisville, Ky.).
"Smart ladder" was invented by Clifford L Johns (Louisville, Ky.), Steven W Brewer (New Albany, Ind.) and David Dingman (Louisville, Ky.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A ladder including sensors, a controller, and output signals to alert the user to operating conditions and to aid the user in the safe operation of the ladder."
