ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,605,409, issued on April 21, was assigned to University of South Florida (Tampa, Fla.).

"Plasma derived from human umbilical cord blood for the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders" was invented by Svitlana Garbuzova-Davis (Tampa, Fla.), Jared Carl Ehrhart (Tampa, Fla.) and Paul R. Sanberg (Spring Hill, Fla.).
