ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,666,736, issued on June 23, was assigned to University of Rochester (Rochester, N.Y.).
"Multispectral imaging CMOS sensor" was invented by Jennifer Kruschwitz (Rochester, N.Y.) and Jaime Cardenas (Rochester, N.Y.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Multipixel sensors using color filters formed of materials compatible with a CMOS process, where the filters have respective bandpass ranges of no more than 40 nm FWHM centered at respective wavelengths in the 400-900 nm range and 50% or more light transmission on a silicon wafer."
The patent was filed on Nov. 16, 2022, under Application No. 17/987,981.
