ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,577,282, issued on March 17, was assigned to University of Florida Research Foundation Inc. (Gainesville, Fla.).
"Galectin-1/ galectin-3 chimeras and multivalent proteins" was invented by Gregory Allan Hudalla (Gainesville, Fla.) and Margaret Mary Fettis (Northborough, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein are Galectin-1/Galectin-3 multivalent protein complexes and uses thereof. In some aspects, Galectin-1/Galectin-3 multivalent protein complexes are useful to treat inflammatory conditions in a subject."
