ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,625,309, issued on May 12, was assigned to UNIVERSIDAD COMPLUTENSE DE MADRID (Madrid).

"Blocking element of short wavelengths in LED-type light sources" was invented by Celia Sanchez Ramos (Madrid).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Method, product and blocking element of short wavelengths in LED-type light sources consisting of a substrate with a pigment distributed on its surface and, in that said pigment has an optical density such that it allows the selective absorption of short wavelengths between 380 nm and 500 nm in a range between 1 and 99%."

The patent was filed on Feb. 23, 2024, under Application No. 18/586,293.
