ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,593,378, issued on March 31, was assigned to Universal Display Corp. (Ewing, N.J.).

"Organic electroluminescent materials and devices" was invented by Lichang Zeng (Lawrenceville, N.J.), Ting-Chih Wang (Lawrenceville, N.J.), Alexey Borisovich Dyatkin (Ambler, Pa.) and Chuanjun Xia (Lawrenceville, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A mixture of carbazole and triazine derivatives that can be thermally evaporated from one crucible to fabricate thin films for electroluminescent devices is disclosed."

The patent was filed on Sept. 29, 2022, under Application No. 17/955,933.
